Guess the National Team Player

Nations mode pulls its pool from players named in current national squads. You get 8 guesses — each one shows how close you are on country, club, position, height, age and national-team shirt number. A fresh player every round, no daily cap.

How to play

  1. Type any player currently named in a national squad and pick them from the list.
  2. Cells turn green for an exact match, yellow when close (a neighbouring position line — keeper next to defender, defender next to midfielder, midfielder next to forward, or within 2 for the numbers), grey when off.
  3. Arrows (▲ / ▼) on height, age and shirt number point you higher or lower.
  4. Solve it in 8, then play again for a new player.

How Nations differs from the club game

The daily and unlimited games draw from Europe's top-5 club leagues; Nations draws instead from players currently called up to their national team, so the clues are country (not league) plus club, position, height, age and national-team shirt number. It replaces the old World Cup mode — same idea, but playable any time, not just during a tournament.

Tips

Country is the most powerful clue — get it green and you've narrowed to one squad. Open with a well-known international so the country and club clues do a lot of work, then use the arrows to home in on height, age and number.

Frequently asked questions

Which players can I guess?
Players named in a current national-team squad. The pool is refreshed as squads are announced.
Is this the daily game?
No — Nations is endless, like Unlimited, just with a different player pool. For the once-a-day shared puzzle, play the daily game.
What happened to the World Cup mode?
Nations mode replaced it — same country/club/position/height/age/number clues, but not tied to a tournament, so it's playable year-round.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up.
